Caffyns PLC ('the Company')
The Chief Executive indicated in the Company's 2006 Annual Report that planning
issues had continued to delay the sale of its site in Hove, Sussex. The site
had been sold to Berkeley Homes (Southern) Limited ('Berkeley') conditional on
obtaining planning permission. The appeal against the planning refusal by the
local authority has been unsuccessful and the contract with Berkeley has
therefore been terminated, leaving the Company free to offer the site for sale
on an unconditional basis.
