BOARD CHANGES
Caffyns plc, the leading motor distributor covering 15 car franchises in the south-east of England, today announces a number of Board changes.
Brian Carte has taken the decision to retire on health grounds from the Board with immediate effect. Brian Carte served for twelve years as a non-executive director on the Board including the last five years as Chairman.
The Board is pleased to announce that, with immediate effect, Brian Birkenhead is appointed Chairman of the Company and Chairman of the Nominations Committee succeeding Brian Carte in both roles. As a result of the above changes, Brian Birkenhead is stepping down as Chairman of the Audit Committee to be replaced by Andrew Goodburn who will additionally assume the role of Senior Independent Director. Nicholas Hollingworth is appointed Chairman of the Remuneration Committee.
